Not jw.org, but Phillippine Immigration.org. I have lived in the P.I.(Phillippine Islands) for 9 years now. Last year on a black out drunk, was accused of attemted homicide, so went to court, paid some dollars, case dismissed (the complainant was well taken care of) so two weeks ago tried to leave the country to visit family in the U.S., no dice, legal case pending. The case was dismissed locally, but Immigration in Manila of course has no record of case dismissmal. So after going to Manila with all paperwork paying associated fees, and being told to call in 2-3 working days, cannot get anyone to answer said phone at Immigration. I don't think they really care about me personally (sarcasm) I know they don't give a rats ass about my personnel situation, same as any large Organization ( Including Jah's). Just really typical of all large organizations, you really have to follow up on your own issue and document everything. Still trying to get permission to leave P.I., but in all honesty, I have been stuck in worst places, such as Diego Garcia, and Bahrain!! -

As you were the only one to ask for the continuation of my story, this is for JRK. Sorry this took so long. While I genuinely love to read others experiences and thoughts on jw matters. I only post when I am 3 sheets to the wind (4 you Aussies and Brits ((on the piss))). So, while an old friend(female of course) was visiting my girl and I, I of course ( while on the piss) suggested a three some. This did not go over well with my current better half, so of course, I departed my domicile in a state of rage. This being around 10:00 pm and after copious amounts of Emperiodor Brandy ( a local cheap ass liquor). I found myself in the local bar (whore district) looking for love, or the approximate local equivalient. So, Seeing as how I was pissed off( missing out on the threesome) I decided to screw with some local Pinoys. So I commence to pull out a rather large lock blade knife and threaten to kill any and all present, after several M16 A2"s( the local pulis) being leveled in my direction, I aquisese (give up). While I don't remember all the details (black out drunk) I do remember being thrown into the local drunk tank. There are 4 locals locked up, of course being the badass Americano that I am, I see the youngest local and yell out, WHAT ARE YOU A TOUGH GUY? So commences the I am the toughest MotherFucker on the cell block contest. I actually did pretty well for a 50 year old 70 lbs over weight alcoholic. They (the pulis) took us both to the hospital, for black eyes ( mine was worse than his) I believe they only took us in case I lost sight in my eye as a foreigner would have looked bad for the locals. Actually the young guy I fought, ended up taking care of me for the week I stayed in local lockup, because in the Philippines, the local Pulis do not feed you, if you are locked up, and no one brings you food, you do not eat. I had my girl bring enough food for myself and the young guy I fought with, when first locked up, he went on to serve about six months in Olongapo city jail, I supported him while in, and today have a friend for life. -

been their, done that
by olongapo joe inok, i was never baptized, raised jw from one yr old till 15 yr old, never really believed, joined u.s. navy at 20 yr old.
i used to think(still do) how much the jw organization was like the military!
to advance, you have to hit certain marks, ( for the military you need high marks in physical fitness) (( could that be field service for jw's?

How do you say? To advance, you have to hit certain marks, ( for the military you need high marks in physical fitness) (( could that be field service for jw's?)) For the military you need( Combat action ribbon) / national defense ribbon)(( basically a been there done that ribbon)) For jw's could that be missionary service/ needs greater service? Basically the jw's are the same as any other outfit, the more checks you get in the box, the higher you advance. -

Are you A comments/like junkie?
by olongapo joe ini admit that i am, i started a thread on my youthful drinking, that went absolutely nowhere.
so here i am looking for some love.
i have spent hours on this site reading others experiences (real or imagined), i question some of john aguilars( i did not comment on johns post, just mentally thought it sounded a little far fetched) and notice when others question how he is always in the right place at the right time, he seems to stop commenting.

Is he truthful? I don't know. I will try and back up any post I start, and I see most posters here will try and do the same, unless fading and trying to remain incognito. I give Simon or any other moderator permission to verify I am posting from the Philippines. I hope to have some insightful post in a week or two, as I will be traveling to the states and visiting jw family in Ohio. I hope to drop some info I have learned here, and hopefully plant some seeds. Would in the future, posting if jw related or not, help any one out? As this is an x-jw site I would not want to waste anyone's time. -

Should I stay or should I go?
by olongapo joe inhello all, i love reading all of your experiences, and trials and tribulations ( isn't that very jw'ish)?
while most of my life experiences have almost nothing to do with jw's, as i was never baptized and never believed( in the bible) past the 5th grade, it makes me feel good to contribute a post or two here, i tend to go off on subjects that are probably not very jermaine to the main subject of this site.
i do really enjoy all of your comments and the time and effort simon and the other moderators spend to make this a truly inspiring site.

I laid down a Honda 700cc in 1984, of course totally my fault, drunk and wearing short, t-shirt, and sneakers, and of course sun glasses, but I was a cool dude, my parents were at a circuit assembly, and were called out over the p.a. because my sorry ass was in the hospital. On a side note, I had insurance as I was employed at the time, but my best friend, who was on the back of my bike, and no insurance, I was admitted, he was discharged as treated and released, although almost the same injuries, lots of road rash, no broken brones, laid down the bike after hitting the divider between the on ramp and the hi-way, again totally my fault, drunk and I don't even remember the wreck, just waking up in the hospital. Ahhh good times. Not really just glad to survive. My favorite saying is STILL ALIVE!!! -

Do todays Jw's care at all about Russell and the pyramid?
by olongapo joe injust wondering, as i will be visiting active jw family in ohio in a few weeks, do you think it will be worthwhile dropping it into a conversation, about the wtbts pyramid near his grave, or try some other topic to try and wake them up.
i was never baptized and don't really care if they get upset or not, but it is only a day trip from ohio to pittsburgh, and thought it would be fun if they denied it, and then drove their to see it for ourselves.

how do most of you now feel about the military?
by sowhatnow inwas not sure where to post this, but i was curious, how do some of you now feel about the military?
would any of you let your children enlist, or would you yourselves join any military field?
how do you feel about the idea of women in the military?

I joined the U.S. Navy not out of patriotism, but only for the opportunity to leave my hometown and see the world.
In 20 yrs as an Aircraft Electrician, I never fired a weapon in anger, in fact I only fired a weapon twice in the Navy, once in bootcamp, and once to qualify to carry pistols. I am glad I joined, and would go back in a heartbeat if they needed me.
I have a daughter in the Air Force (Pharmacy Technician) she has been in over 7 yrs, if she stays in, she can draw a pension in 13 more yrs at age of 40 for the rest of her life.
Of course my and my daughters service is much different from frontline trigger pullers, I have the utmost respect for the grunts (diggers for you Aussies). I am ok with women in the military, but not in the front lines. I do not think we should have invaded Iraq, but for the military to work the troops have to follow the LEGAL orders given them.
